The Street Plans Collaborative held a Tactical Urbanist's Guide to Materials and Design Workshop in West Palm Beach, FL at the Dreyfoos School of the Arts on February 2017. Along with the City of West Palm Beach, students tested out different asphalt paints before breaking into teams to think critically through, and present, the implementation of their intersection improvement designs. The winning team will be painting their intersection improvement in three weekends at the intersection of Fern St. and Tamarind Ave. in West Palm Beach. Very impressive work from some future Tactical Urbanists! Thanks to the City of West Palm Beach, and Dreyfoos School of the Arts staff, for their help in putting on the workshop.
